Life has been interesting lately. It seems to have taken me to the edge and back, I feel like the world is flat. I have learnt so much and so have my poor old family, but I think it's all been beneficial. My kids have (even though been under a lot of pressure) manage to complete important studies. My husband has learned a lot about housework!! and my poor old mum and sister have probably spent far more time in hospital than they would have preferred.
In fact, life has been put on hold for a while. The cancer journey continues to have it's ups and downs. At the moment we are looking if it is possible for me to manage at home with some palliative nurses which involves figuring out all my gadgets and meds so everyone can cope on the home front.
I don't know why but a silly song keeps going through my head singing "my boomerang won't come back". I know you are all praying for me because I can feel it and some magical things are happening.. had a special person come to visit me and I received an amazing healing.
So that's it for now folks, my lovely Lara is managing my blog for me, and so I hope all goes well with my bloggy friends and I'll speak again asap.

vicki, what i have learned from you and renee about living and learning could fill a book for the ages. how brave and honest you are, you accept this all too heavy challenge placed on you and your family with such grace.

Vicki....you are as beautiful outside as that wonderful heart and soul of yours are inside.
Your courage to look all obstacles squarely in the eye and move forward is so inspirational....in fact, inspirational is NOT a STRONG ENOUGH word...whatever the word - it is YOU....your family is amazing....(how could they not be they're YOUR family)!
As for your other family (that's US...your blogging family), you KNOW how much we love you....how much we pray for you daily...we sit alongside your bed, hold your hand, massage your shoulders.....make you giggle.
The garden outside your hospital room is so pretty...it's a Fairy Garden...and I hope you can see Butterflies, Bees and Dragonflies zoom by....they all send their love too you know! (Yes, you DO know.)

Robin dropped by my blog and told me that you had a new post, so here I am. I look forward to your posts, but sometimes don't know right away when you have a new one.
I'm so grateful to Lara for managing your blog, and I was delighted that you posted more photos, both of yourself and of your garden. I love you, dearie, and I think of you everyday. I so hope that this journey you are on has a happy ending. At least, you seem to be doing well in dealing with it all.
I'll mention that my own problems have gotten much better over the last couple of months. I still have my ups and downs, but the trend is definitely up. I can even enjoy going to bed again now that I'm not constantly awakened by pain, and my drug-taking has dropped to the point that I'm only on two drugs on a daily basis--Cymbalta and medical marijuana.

AH, it's so wonderful to have these pictures. Thank you Lara for helping us all keep up with Vicki. It is even more valuable to me nowt hat she is gone. It is so amazing to me that someone can be so full of life one day adn gone the next. That is her blessing I guess, one richly deserved.
