*When i heard this morning that The Seekers were re-forming to support classical music superstar Andre Rieu on his Australian tour this year... i was thrust into a childhood reverie, so integral a part of my formative years was this band... They were in fact my first ~music loves~ and so vividly do i remember their final concert (Their final performance in July 1968 was screened live by the BBC as a special called Farewell The Seekers, with an audience of more than 10 million viewers)....and my ensuring tears
*The Seekers were a group of Australian folk-influenced popular musicians that was formed in Melbourne in 1962. They were the first Australian popular music group to achieve major chart and sales success in the United Kingdom and the United States and were a highly popular band of the 1960s, at some points rivaling the popularity of The Beatles.

And so as i sit here now marveling and fascinated by the almost magical ability ~music~ has to transport me back in time sighhh (Who needs a time~travel machine!)... It causes me to think about an article i read just last night about ~Whale music~
This article by Chip Richards in the free Living Now Magazine spoke about the way Whales with their song/s help to hold the meridian energy lines of our planet... And for me this is not too much of a leap to comprehend because we now understand through science that music is infact a vibration ...And because i have personally have had experience with song and music and it's almost magical ability to take me into altered states during meditation... It is not such a leap for me to understand this concept of vibration and energy~lines for i believe we are all vibrating energy (and thus 'the physical' being the ultimate illusion) and so the Whales creating with their songs an energy that serves to stabilize our watery planet seems quite logical to me... Water being the perfect carrier of course...

Quote from Living Now article: "Singing the same song... The Humpback whale song is deeply complex and poetic with verse, chorus and rhythm and much like human pop music, it constantly changes and evolves over time. Science has begun to scratch the surface of understanding these melodies and courting hymns, but one unexplained fact remains- even though the Humpback's song is constantly changing and the whales themselves are spread far and wide, at any given moment, all of the Humpback's of s given region are all singing the same song" ... Chip Richards
And so does it saddened me that whale hunting still goes on to this day and also too our evolving ignorance towards the energy pollution that is a constant bombardment on not only our environment but also our health, which i believe may be the very thing thing that throws out the sensitive whale radar systems and causes them to tragically beach themselves (i still have very vivid sad memories of beached whales in my childhood) Personally i see a big connection between illness and the energy pollution that fills our air waves now... and am so grateful to such people of science as the well known neurosurgeon Dr CharlieTeo putting themselves out on the line with statements talking of the links ( for example) between clock radio's and brain tumors of which he deals with on a daily basis...
One of the things my Development Circle teacher Violet Eccles is particularly conscious of during class time and within her own home in general is the energy pollution that can interfere with Spirit communication work and she believes that a lot of us have lost the ability to connect with spirit quite naturally because of all the vibrational pollution in the worlde now... She also believes in ~Music~ and it's ability to heighten vibration during energy work...
[And there's another wonderful example of music vibration that is all the go at the moment helping to keep people fit... My sister is currently doing ZUMBA classes Lol! You go girrrl!]

So maybe i am a Seeker in more ways than one and if you are too then perhaps you might like to think about participating in this ~energy work~ through song:

"We'll build a world of our own
that no one else can share.
All our sorrows we'll leave far behind us there.
And I know you will find
there'll be peace of mind
when we live in a world of our own"
