...about Dad
We were chatting, just the two of us, about the two small albums
that were recovered from my Grandmother's estate on her death
a few years ago...
These two tiny albums were the only photo's of my parents Engagement
and Wedding day and were held in emotional ransom from my Mum
when my parents divorced when i was only 10yrs old... by my Father's Mother
My Mum had put together the Engagement album herself...
and Dad had the processed the wedding photo's in a home made darkroom
after the photographer had ruined most of the the original negatives and photo's...
For many years this was a deep hurt for my Mother and upsetting for my Sister and i, as due to a rather nasty divorce, we had never seen many of the photo's at all... So last night we were chatting about them and how beautiful they were in all their simplicity...
...and about how my Dad had been my Mum's first ~True Love~
As the conversation continued we started to notice that one of the lamps in my lounge room was flicking annoyingly, so as i had three lamps on, i got up and switched it off...
Then abruptly the other two lamps started... sighhhh, the globes were only just new i mentioned and shouldn't have been playing up like this...
And then a thought occurred to me and i ~smiled~ as i looked over at my Mum...
The lamps flicked a few more times at our acknowledgment of my Dad's presence in the room with us and then stopped... And as my Heart warmed on last nights ~Valentines Eve~
i knew my Dad in ~Spirit~ had been drawn close by the ~Love~ we had felt for him
Such is the ~Magic~

How lovely! I had two odd occurrences yesterday myself and will write about them as soon as I have figured them out!
And how heartwarming for your mother and your family to finally have those photos to remember your Dad. I'm so glad he came to visit...it sounds very healing. xoxo
