"Kermit is an American and all..."

What do I care, you silly girl? You know how critical I am of American culture. I've trashed this nation of mine up, down, to both sides, and back through the middle.

I had the questionable fortune last week to actually find an Aussie TV show at the library (I watch Aussie movies every chance I get, but that isn't often, and I had never seen an Aussie TV show). I was really excited about it. It was called 1915, but I thought the first episode dragged, but I hung in there anyway for the blue heeler--I was cooking at the time, and didn't want to look for something else. Then, when one of the two protagonists raped the aboriginal woman, I said, screw it, I'm outta here. I'm just wondering if you know of the show, and if it was a big hit.

Did you ever read that Fentanyl post?

No Snow don't know 1915 (i hate any movies with rape in them too) but there are HEAPS of good Aussy movies... We are quite good at them now X:-)

I am quite addicted to the (American) series called SUITS at the moment do you know it? i think you would like it.

No i didn't read the Fentanyl post, i will trot on over for a squiz (peek) X:-)

I've only heard of Suits. In the U.S., we have commercial TV, which I loathe and almost never watch, both because I don't tend to like the shows, and because I have no patience for the 20 minutes of advertising that comes with every one hour of programming.

We also have PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) which is largely viewer supported through voluntary contributions, and which has excellent shows. I'm a major fan of PBS. They have a great many documentaries of one kind or another, and quite a bit of BBC programs. I also check movies out of the library.

I just referred you to the Fentanyl post because I know you're taking it.
