spiritual awakenings
i haven't seen this movie yet but the series of books (The Celestine Prophecy series by James Redfield) that this movie http://thecelestineprophecymovie.com/ was based upon
were some of the first books that i read back in '98 leading to a beginning of sorts to my ~spiritual awakening~ ... my dad's death being the trigger...
They literally jumped off the shelf at me, as books have a habit of doing when i need to ~open my mind~ and move forward
And it seems my mind is determined to wander back to these books tonight as i ponder my aunts diagnosis of cancer and my friend's mother's death from it on this very day...
...and as i am moved to the next stage of physical ~healing~ myself
i feel the need to allow my heart to experience the magic that surrounds us
i feel the need to remember joy
i feel the need to ~feel~ alive tonight
i feel the need to ~remember~
and to connect...
to the ~invisible~
Do YOU ever get like tHaT too?

Sometimes we feel guilty if we feel joy when there is sadness around us.
Sometimes we are too scared of feeling joyful when we ourselves have been experiencing the sadness.
Sometimes we need to be reminded that it is more than ok to feel joy, to really belly laugh....sadness is a valley and valleys don't go on forever as long as we keep moving. Soon or later we come to a rise, a hill and then a mountain and on that mountain is love and laughter and it is the healing balm for all that came before it and it is the sound of hope for those still down in the valley. Let the sound of hope ring the hills and settle in the valleys. You deserve it...but you know that already don't you Vicki :)

WOw, a lot going on all around you. AS your healing continues, others begin their journeys -- one with a diagnosis, another transitioning from this life. I am so glad you are joyful. No matter what is going on around us, good can always be found.
Have you ever heard fo Reverend Michael Beckwith? He's a new thought minister in LA at a place called AGAPE, and is one of my main teachers (he also makes an appearance in the movie THe Secret... I;m sure you know of it). He'd always start the service with a call and response. He'd say "life is good" and we'd say (or shout) back: ALL THE TIME! I came to learn the truth of those words, and I remember them... I need to remember it every day.
I'm glad you're life is good today!
Oh yes Sydney i do know of him
