This perfect Autumn day...

Had me on a college tour with my youngest
so excited she is to be accepted to the same college as her sister
on this day...

There is something wonderful about family tradition...
that sings to my heart...
and so ~beautiful~ is this school
From every window there is a view of the valley and encircling hills
and in other directions the city scape so clear to the eye
on such a gorgeous Autumn day...
that i found myself marveling, and not for the first time
at the beauty of this structure and the way it inspires the spirit
to want to ~learn~ and engage and be a part of something bigger than oneself

Examples of art are everywhere, of students past and present
but there is something more that floats around the corridors there
that brings a tear to my eye (silly me!) so strongly whispers my heart
that there is a strength there, and a love there, and people who ~care~

This beautiful college has been structurally created to inspire
and has my mind bursting with dreams of all the possibilities of life
that can begin here, take root here, be nurtured and set to flight
that inspires me to feel something deeper in my spirit
about my role too as mother, mentor and guide...

i believe, as i'm sure many do, that a school should be so much more
than simply a place of learning
that it should be a place where a young spirit can feel a sense of real hope,
and real joy and ~truth~
and i believe this college has that set ~deep~ into the mortar

And i know from past experience with my firstborn there
that this college achieves this with every new brick set
and every dream acknowledged, nurtured

and set ~free~

That is fantastic that your youngest go into the same college as her sister! What an exciting time in her life - I remember the feelings of going to my college on the first day - I felt, as you said, inspired and hopeful. I believed that I could conquer anything. I loved the smell and feel of the old buildings, the books, the scurrying of students and instructors - I often miss that time in my life. I am happy for your family. This is a day that none of you will ever forget.

Aah! I know what you're talking about. Both my dad and grandpa were from the same college and I always really wanted to go to the same place, and the day I got through, my dad was more excited than me!

What lucky girls. It looks beautiful. I want to go.

Do they accept 53 year olds and what grade do I have to apply to get in?

I will totally take Grade 9 over again.
