Yes indeed. May he now rest peacefully and painlessly.
When I read his statement some months ago as to how he rejected further chemo I felt he was a brave and sensible man. Pancreatic cancer is almost always a death sentence. He felt it was not worth the extra trauma of more treatment - and I applauded his decision.
Saw him being interviewed on BBC tv one day, not too long ago, and he came across as a really decent guy. A very sad loss.
I've been a lover of ballroom dancing since age 16; he was a gifted dancer.
Mr. Swayze did come across as a very decent guy. I feel sad that he passed on when he would have had so many more creative endeavors to pursue. He will be missed. My very first year of full time teaching, grade three, I remember Simone at the back of the room holding up a huge poster of Patrick and vowing her love and devotion forever. She was 10. She is at university now and she will be sad too. He will be missed. Thank you for this thoughtful post, Nolly. (((((((((Hugs.))))))))))
He has no pain now, bless him so much! Truly enjoyed his films and contributions to the whole world. he certainly made my life a better one. Rest in peace dear friend of the earth!

nolly, what i wonderful photo you chose: you can decency in his eyes.
this was a man who wanted to live and finally, when he had to, accepted dying with the same grace.
