A Cuddle for this little Duck

Today during the time that i had to wait for the dye to travel my veins
before completing the bone scan... i went for a short walk
and unexpectedly bumped into my next door neighbor, in a crowded newsagent
She smiled at me as i leaned gratefully on her shoulder in a quiet embrace
and then she whispered a Beautiful Prayer in my ear...
i was in pain and was trying to deal with labored breathing
but for that brief moment as i rested on her shoulder
i just let myself ~Be~ in her arms...
and as i did a gentle stillness filled my Heart and eased my pain

Later on my return home as i sat in dappled sunshine on my veranda
my usually cuddle reluctant kitty, came and sat on my knees...
and filled the emptiness that sometimes tries to sneak into the corners of my mind

And a little whisper whispered to me...
that it was no co-incidence that my kitty should choose this time to sit with me today
and a beautiful synchronicity orchestrated by above that my lovely neighbor
should be not in our usual part of town, but in a shop, with a Prayer
just when i should need her
