Dr Burzynski's cancer cure...
http://vimeo.com/24821365
But as usual the pharmaceutical companies are hampering the way!
Surprise, surprise!

i went for a second opinion last night about some ~other~ medical treatments...
The Doc was very efficient, very intelligent and cold...
He told me what he could do for me and the stats...
He told me (in not so many words) that while i was 'okay'
it was better to stay that way...
He told me that it was better to consider his other therapies ...
only when (not if) i was at a stage that my quality of life 'was compromised'
i asked why if i had 5 tumors that were now 2 tumors that he did not consider this 'a window of opportunity?'...
He gave me the impression (again in not so many words)
that he did not have any confidence in any of his treatments being a cure
and that because i had tumors metastasized in my liver...
that i most probably had small ones elsewhere even though my CT scans say otherwise
He suggested i get an MRI for then i would know the true picture...
i wondered to myself (quietly) why i had not had this suggested to me before?
And then i said out aloud (to myself)
The difference between him and me?
He chooses the glass half empty...
...and i choose the glass half full
StuFF him!

I understand that doctors who love <3 their patients effect more cures.
Stuff him - damn right! (And I don't, as a rule, swear..).But this "Doctor" needs to rethink the words that come out of his mouth.
GLASS HALF FULL......IS the way to think about this. I know it is easy for me to say - while you, dear Vicki, are living the reality... but I believe this attitude will help...not hinder your recovery. Can you ask for another doctor?
Love and STRENGTH...always,

Nolly, I like what Angela said.
keep that glass half full and never give up. Sending a zillion hugs and lots of love.

Yes Robin, He was just a second opinion... i won't be going back me-thinks! (Although i won't deny that he would be a very efficient doc & very good perhaps at what he does... It's just that personality of his... NOT very inspiring!!!) i guess i am spoilt with all those wonderful docs i have had the good fortune to have in my life so far! <3
Thanks guys for your supporting comments <3 Love ya's <3
So sorry to read this Nolly. I do wish you everything you wish for yourself. I know how some doctors have no bloody idea of how they come across to their patients. It is heartbreaking at times.
My poor daughter, Clare (35 this month) has been experiencing similar 'unthinking' comments from so-called specialists. One of them, a neurosurgeon, told her that her brain tumour was so 'rare' that he would have to resort to the INTERNET for guidance!
Yep, I know this sounds implausible but it actually happened. Why oh why would ANY doctor come out with such disturbing remark. Un-bloody-believeable but it HAPPENED.
Do please keep topping up your glass; never let it go below half full. Good luck and stay firm.
Phil
