Oh my. I got a chill from looking at that. August is almost over and September will be upon us and soon snow will come to Ontario as well. I am sad to see the all the green leaves and flowers go. But I love fall. An Elder once said to me that it is when Mother Earth puts on her best dress and has her last dance of the year before she covers herself in a blanket for a long restful sleep. So I shouldn't talk negative about the coming change of season. Secretly though I shiver thinking about it. Seeing your pictures shows me that the seasons are about to change here. You shall get spring and renewal and I will be going into fall and a time of rest.
It gave me chills! It's so beautiful. Cleveland used to snow more than anything...and every now and then I miss a little snow. The key word is little! That's why I go up to Sedona in the winter. I will take a photo of snow on the red stone mountains for you this year Vicki--for you to enjoy when summer hits you down under!!
Hey Carla, and Yep we sure do get snow up in our mountains in Winter in Victoria and there is big business in snow sports, etc (In fact l once worked as a receptionist for a Physiotherapist and a Sports Consultant and one of the S/C was the trainer of an Olympic ski champion)... Snow is not so common though in my local hills so it's a real treat when it decides to surprise us like this (We get all excited!)x
Hey Renee X:-) Love your little comment X:-) That is a bEaUtIfUL story about Mother Earth and her dress... Can you see a painting in that??? x

We actually have a lot of Europeans & American's too l guess, having little "Chrissy in July celebrations" simply because they want to celebrate Christmas in the cold (Like they would at home)... Me, l just lOOOOve a hot chrissy with BBQ's and holidays and beautiful summer evenings ...and one Chrissy (a couple of years ago) when we had a 'cold one' it seemed all upside down to me!!!

I totally forgot for a millisecond when I read that -- of course, it's winter for you....
Could you send me some of that? I'm in the US, down south... and it's hot. We never get snow that good here.
Nice blog, btw.
I really have a thing for the Doctor.
