It was a privilege to be a part of your final farewell today
just as it was to be a friend to you, all those years ago
when we worked together
far too young to leave said our tears
but happy is she now with her dearly beloved dogs
we all whispered with our hearts
because we all know, as did you
that ~dogs~ go to ~heaven~ too...

we loved the beautiful white lady's
in their smart burgundy hats
and the gorgeous white coffin too
so you, dear Sue, so you...

but what was especially powerful
was the Maori cheer
that reached deep into my bones
and flung your ~spirit~ into the arms of your ~keeper~

may God now have you in his tender care
away from the pain
and the worries of this place
and i will keep your beautiful memory
in the corner i have in my heart
for the special people
like ~you~
