i carry your heart with me

an ~Angels song~

for Barry ...and Renee

The Little Blue Yabby:

i stopped as a little blue yabby crossed my path in the lane~way today and as i watched him for a while and noted his slow careful progress i wondered to myself just why he was choosing MY path on this day? After a small time i decided to carefully transport him on the back of a small fallen tree bough from one side of the path to the other where it was damper and there was more vegetation to disappear into... Somewhere i thought where he'd be safer from things more destructive...

"Crayfish is a creature that speaks loudly of protectiveness. according to Scott Alexander King ...
Legend says that Crayfish helped spirit in the re-creation of Mother Earth
by carrying mud up from the waters of the Great Flood in Biblical times..."
Scott goes on to say that Yabby warns us that " we must thwart fear and doubt from retarding our progress and build a symbolic outer shell that protects us from these tendencies."

And so the tiny Blue Yabby gets me thinking and reflecting about my ~first born~ and my role in her changing and making decisions about ~her life~ and my thoughts wander to that of my protectiveness and role as her mother to guide her but then set her free...

Then i get thinking upon dangers and trials
and journeys and hard-times and hills
and Barry and Renee
and me...

But then i think on
The Little Blue Yabby again
...and re-creating ourselves
from ~muddy waters~

That is really beautiful ... both Renee and Barry are going through the worst.

I certainly feel like a little blue yabby at times, wishing someone would come and carry me to safety.

And I know there are a lot of people out there trying to do just that, family, friends, doctor's, nurses, fellow bloggers....

But I have my part to do as well. And will, after I listen to that beautiful choir one more time!

You are such a treasure! This blog is so heartfelt and lovely. I listened to the CD and I was so touched to know how much you care. The yabby has to mean good fortune. Right? Protection is a very good quality.
Angels watch over us, it's so true. xoxo
