A girl's tale...

i first posted this little ~story~ on: August 18th 2008...
i feel to post it again today, to remind myself that *Magical* things happen all the time...

Just like yesterday when i felt a strong urge to go to a local garage sale
...in the rain

only to discover a ~wealth~ of books on health and spirituality
from the Heavens...

in answer to my Hearts call for guidance...

i guess it must have been more of a *shout*
because in the end i bought 60 books at 50cents each!
~Thankyou~ Universe and to the little old man
who in his retirement felt it was time...
to pass on the wis
dom x

Once upon a time there was a girl who on one lovely sunny day was told that she might die...
As surprising as this information was, on this particular day, it wasn't entirely unexpected to her...
For some things, some times just seem to make sense...to something deep inside your soul... she thought...
...And as the girl walked outside and away from the doctors office, she looked up at the sky and waited for the day to ...stop...
Would the sun suddenly stop shining for her? Would clouds mysteriously appear? Would the birds go silent as she passed...
Would something happen to mark this fateful day? ...To let her know that this was a different day?... to all the rest of her days...
And as she stopped, in the sunlight, for a moment and waited... Willing the world to stop turning ...for just a second... so that she could take a deep breath of the silence...
There was ~nothing~ for as much as 'time' tried, he could not stand still, not even for the girl, on this defining day ...and so she was left standing in the warm sunshine holding her husbands hand, silently contemplating the tale of a tree falling in a silent forest and the question of existence... While the birds sang...

Later that same day though, there was a phone call...

And as if in a trance the girl answered and listened to the voice on the other end, who told her of a special ~wise man~ who was in town for just this one night from America (by co-incidence) and perhaps she could speak to him about her unusual day ...And so by nightfall, for she knew of nowhere else to go on such a day, she found herself in a room, a beautiful room with a domed ceiling and music so gentle that it sang to her soul... There were other people there too and as she felt nervous to be amongst the strangers she sought the safety of her closed eye lids...
And so into this peace and calm she let herself fall ... into the still, silent places of her mind... Where she could drift and forget her troubles ...when soon she began to notice a voice... the ~wise man's~ voice and he began to talk to her ...of her life...
And as she sat there in the audience of people and the ~wise man~ sat on the stage talking with his eyes closed too, she began to sense the defining moment she had been waiting all day for ... and the man's voice began to very gently speak to her of her life ...And ~magically~ (for what else could it be?) her life was laid out before her like a movie... with every tiny detail from the very beginning to the very moment she was now in...
AND it occurred to her, with a SUDDEN pang of fear that there was something ~VERY magical~ happening ... and as she had not had much experience of such things, she quickly retracted her mind... drew herself back to the room and the music in panic ...But the voice soothed her and reassured her that all was well and that all was perfect in the moment...
When the girl opened her eyes, she was shocked to find herself to be staring into the very eyes of the ~wise man~ on the stage... the very eyes of the voice in her head...
"You have a question" he smiled, and his eyes sparkled with a knowingness that the girl had never experienced before... and as her whole head felt like a ball of heavenly light and speech near impossible, her words dried up on her lips... But ~the wise man~ simply smiled and Thanked her for her *open hEaRt*

But the story doesn't finish here for ~the wise man~ then moved on to answer the two VERY questions that had dried up on her lips, through two other of the audience members! The TWO VERY questions that she had not spoken of to anyone but herself ...that spoke to the very essence of her being...

~MAGIC~ it had to be! ...the girl thought as she walked away that night for her heart had a knowing that she had surely begun a special journey...
...and her hEaRt spoke to her that she need not be afraid of the pathway that she had chosen, for as "Alice" surely did in "Wonderland" she had entered the realm of ~magical things~ and she heard whispers from within that things would never be the same again...

...and they never have been...

$30 for 60 books. Hope you find time to read them all. Or are you going to start a small business by re-selling them for a few dollars more on Amazon? Oh, I forgot, this posting was over a year ago... so maybe ...

Oh shut up Phil, you're crazy.

i love it that you got 60 books! We certainly would get into trouble if I lived near you or you near me and we went out TOGETHER!

And I am glad you re-posted this, as I didn't know this story. Of course, I 'm wondering if you want to add what the two questions were? And what were his answers?

I could guess, but then I might be the kind of person who could buy two books and be satisfied, lol.
