i remember...

when i used to walk you to school...
and kiss you goodbye
as i went up to the 'big' school
and you went 'down' to 'preppie'



i remember...

singing you to sleep
and worrying about you when you were sick
and telling you bedtime stories about
...santa



i remember...

how brown you went in Summer
when all i ever got was more
...freckles




and i remember...

thinking how 'cute' you were
when you woke up in the mornings
with your hair all 'knotty'



i remember...

how you always twisted yourself up
in your blankets as you slept
and how you surrounded yourself with 'a thousand' toys
to keep yourself ~safe~ at night






i remember...

how you were always surrounded by LOTs of friends
when i had just a few
and how sometimes you would feel sorry for me
and ask me to join in



i remember...

feeling sad that you were always
so careful with your feelings...
and feeling very protective of you
when people miss judged you because of that



i remember...

spending long hot Summer holidays with you
on the beach...
and thinking how 'cute' it was
when mum dressed us in the same colored clothes
when you certainly did not agree!



but most of all my sister
i remember...

~always loving you~

and if ever my time should be over here
before you...
i want you to know
that i will ~always be there~ for you then too ...
and in the ~now~
as you have ~always~ been there
...for me

you have taught me how to ~love~
with ALL of my ~heart~
