~Whispers~

The man whispered, ‘God, speak to me’
~and a meadowlark sang~
But, the man did not hear.
So the man yelled, ‘God, speak to me’
~and the thunder rolled across the sky~
But, the man did not listen.
The man looked around and said,
‘God let me see you.’
~And a star shone brightly~
But the man did not see.
And, the man shouted,
‘God show me a miracle.’
~And a life was born~
But, the man did not notice.
So, the man cried out in despair,
‘Touch me God, and let me know you are here.’
~Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man~
But alas the man brushed the butterfly away .
...and walked on.

~The truly beautiful lesson that cancer has taught me
is that our Blessings are not always packaged the way that we expect~

...and that this is as it should be.

Thank you, this left a much needed reminder with me of "small mercies". I repeat this phrase to myself when I find myself missing a dear friend...Thank you.

that is beautiful and so true.

Please take the help your family and friends offer you.... it is because they love you - not charity. Maybe that is your lessen... just allowing yourself to be loved.

Wow...this is good food for thought. I often find myself "expecting" a certain outcome. Miracles are often disguised and we just have to pay more attention. Thank you for this post today!
