*Bluebirds*

*NewsCornellChronicle.online*

Oh you know how i love a ~Bluebird~
i put them into my corny little paintings and sketches
because they bring with them a certain kind of ~magic~
that i find hard to put into words...

*Images of Colorado*

This *passion* mostly due, i should think to my early exposure to an old and wonderful movie
~The Bluebird of Happiness~ with Shirley Temple:

The Blue Bird is the story of two small children, Mytyl and Tytlyl, who after being visited by a fairy, embark on a journey to find and bring back to this world the blue bird of happiness. They learn about loss, friendship, truthfulness and fear as their adventures take them through many magical places including the Land of Memory, the Palace of Happiness and the Kingdom of the Future. After their long search and many incredible encounters, the two children return to their home without the blue bird only to find it waiting for them where they least expected it. In the end the children learn that real happiness is not found in the tangible world of things and is attainable only to those willing to give up what they appear most to desire. The Blue Bird is a delightful play about the power of the imagination, the innate magic and metaphor to be found in every day life and the meaning of true happiness, which as Dorothy on here quest to find the wizard also learned, is usually to be found right in your own back yard!

AN

INTERPRETATION OF

MAETERLINCK'S

BLUE BIRD

I HAVE given this interpretation, feeling that
it holds a message for those who can read
between the lines; and I wish to give to
others what it has given to me. I feel that Mae-
terlinck, our great Mystic, has put into this fairy
tale some of the greatest truths of life. Nearly
every line is teeming with mystic meaning.
Every time I read it I get a clearer insight. To
me it is one of the deepest works of the present
time, and comes very close to our every-day life.
It is usually called "A Search for Happi-
ness," but to me it seems to be "A Search for
Truth." The title "Blue Bird" implies this.
Blue, the color which represents Truth, is the
Temple of Light through which Divine Intel-
ligence descends and ascends to all parts of the
Universe, to the inner as well as to the outer
plane of life, carrying with it the awakening
principle of intelligence. Bird is a symbol of
thought, upon whose wings all truth is carried:

*Blue Bird People are learning to embrace the beauty, Love and happiness that lives within themselves. Bluebirds are considered a sign of spring and a symbol of happiness and Love:http://www.drstandley.com/animalmedicine_bluebird.shtml

*In mythology, the bluebird is the universally acknowledged sign of happiness, prosperity, good health, and the arrival of spring. The beautiful blue of its plumage is associated with the sky and eternal happiness. Unlike the swallow, it does not have a 'dark' side: http://www.vanishingtattoo.com/tattoos_designs_symbols_bluebird.htm

Now what inspired this little fit of *magical* talk???
This ~post~ by Ruth at Synch-ro-ni-zing
It so warms my heart (literally) to know that someone else in the world
recognizes their magic tOO X:-)

*Animal discovery*

(Ps) i have finally discovered how to trace the ownership of images that i google
on "Google images"... i used to find that when i clicked on their address origin
i would just get "unable to find" or some such thing...
So i started copy & pasting the addresses instead and *ping* found! X:-)
It is so much nicer (not to mention politically correct) to do so...
and besides it leads you on more ~adventures!~
*giggle*

QUOTE: from Ruth's blog Synch-ro-ni-zing:
"I have touched a bluebird, held it in my hand. Two of them. I don’t even know how to hold this in my heart"

*Sighhhh... i think when these days
of mine are up...
it will be the little birds
that i should miss
the most*

Ohh, my experience still has life here, I'm so happy.

I have a bluebird figurine on my dressing table that I see every morning. It reminds me to keep telling the truth, not in the sense of not telling lies, but in the sense of speaking what I see.
