My Tuesday

~The Birds~

Something caught my eye, in the deepening evening sky
tiny specks on soft Autumn breeze, way, way up high

Swirling clouds, dancing specks and as they came closer to the ground
i saw close hand, they were tiny birds, not uttering a sound

Swooning, swirling twirling, it seemed their destiny to deploy
an altered state of consciousness of pure and utter joy

Then i noticed they were diving in a particular streamlined way
down to a dark opening in a building, it was a parking bay...

So down i went to follow in my peculiar dreaming state
to find in noisy fashion, where they they roosted and were in wait

for morning light and clear blue skies where again they would return
just for the utter joy and mystery for ~another's heart~ to yearn

(Ps) When i have ~beautiful~ or unusual experiences with God's creatures
i always find that they come with a ~message...

From my bOOk Animal Dreaming by Scott Alexander King:

"The Swallow- Soul Connections:
...Once believed to be representations of lost souls made flesh, Swallows are said to be birds of Heaven and portents of rebirth, here as angelic comforts, protectors and guides for Spring, Summer and Winter, but returning to heaven in the Autumn.
Darting about at great speed and resembling a ship's anchor when in flight, the Swallow marks and symbolically stirs up negative energy so that it may be grounded and moved on. A spiritual guide, the Swallow is capable of guiding individuals together who have soul issues that need resolving, or work that needs to be done on a soul level.
When Swallow has appeared, its Dreaming is telling you a soul connection has been made, or a soul issue that offers emotional growth has returned on a cyclic level and requires immediate attention."

Like i once said "When my time here on earth is done, it will be the little birds that i should miss the most."

X:-)

Nolly Posh, you won't miss the little birds..you will soar with them!
This was beautiful. I particularly liked how it said that the swallows stir up negative energy so that it may be grounded and put to rest. Lovely sentiment.
Reminds me of the swallows of Capuscasing (sp?)

What a wonderful post! Truly remarkable! I loved it.

Stephen King based one of his books entirely on that legend however he of course took a negative spin.

I like your take on it so much better!

This is a beautiful poem. I see why you told me to come on over to see. I thought you were going to discover that they were little bats when they headed silently into the parking area. We have lots of them in Austin and here in Houston under bridges. I can't believe you had a camera with you when this happened! And were you convinced by reading that quote from Animal Dreaming that they indeed had some message for you?

Yes i find Sydney that they do...
It is always in the eye of the beholder of course and in my mind that is all that matters... for God speaks to us through our individual hearts xox
