Well friends... One has to start somewhere (!!!) and so (I'm being brave AND posting) THIS my very FiRsT official painting of... you guessed it: THE inspiring Frida X:-)FRIDA KAHLO: July 6th 1907-July 13th 1954: Was a mexican painter: who painted using vibrant colors in a style that was influenced by indigenous cultures of Mexico as well as by European influences that include Realism, Symbolism and Surrealism. Many of her works are self portraits that symbolically express her own pain and sexuality. Her "Blue" house in Coyoacan, Mexico City, is a museum now donated by her husband Mexican muralist Diego Rivera, upon his death in 1957.

You know, I love Frida...one day I plan to visit that house in Mexico too. But, I've never painted her. I feel like I should. You've totally inspired me sista! Keep posting your art! It's great stuff.
