My new tattoo: The Dragonfly
According to Aboriginal legend, Dragonfly shares the symbolism of immortality with the Butterfly. Dragonfly Dreaming helps us to break through all self created illusions and those misleading beliefs that comfort us and help us trust that the limitations bought about by physical reality are there to stop us from shifting our consciousness and growing as People.
Dragonfly helps us to change our view of life and to realize that although it is eaisier to stick with what we know and trust, to break through that illusion of life often means growth and development on levels once thought impossible. "Better the Devil we know..." is NOT the path promoted by Dragonfly.
I will remember this now... and Always.

I love it Vicki!!! Super cool! I have a tattoo too. It's on my back right above my butt. Yeah. It's a BUTTerfly. I got it when I was like 16, and in love with some silly boy, and never put any thought into it at all--just got it (illegally) because he was getting a tattoo too, and now I have gone through half my life so far with a black, crooked, not-so-pretty butterfly peaking out of the back of my pants always!! Your's is so beautiful, so meaningful, so thoughtful....I love it. Completely love it.

Beautiful. I want a tatoo but I always think of some many things I could get, but I can't decide what I want. I don't have a cool animal clan like a bear or bird or fish, not I have a small rodent type creature. Don't get me wrong. The Martens are warriors, protectors and very tough, but I am not getting a rodent tattooed on my body for nothing. I wish the Anishinaabeg had insects as clans, because I would have loved to be born into the dragonfly clan. How cool would that have been. Like your family, you don't get to choose your clan in most cases. But I would love to be a dragonfly or butterfly.
Hey ThankYOU girls X:-) X:-) X:-) ...and the guy was really nice who created it for me too... Very artistic and he told me of how many people tell him amazing stories of their lives and troubles while he works on them... The studio was beautiful and sparkling clean and he talked of his kids and wife too... A real family man... Which surprised me though l don't know why? Perhaps l thought that he would be different to that, but no he was aNoThEr beautiful artist who just loves to draw! He said as a child that was ALL he did... X:-) Vicki x
