Earthworms = Renewal

Here's three small guys that probably know a little about my word for the day... "WoRmS"... Have l gone completely MAD you think??? (Well probably!) ...But NO it's just that l have been listening to a program on the radio today about these amazing little fellows... and how they are Mother Nature's tiny but incredible compost-ers and it got me marveling about "earth worm mAgIc" :

Earthworm should be respected for his/her extensive powers of renewal, transformation, earth healing, regeneration, self-healing, and stamina. Working with Earthworm Spirit will help you with the development of these powers in yourself. You can sit on Mother Earth and contemplate how Earthworm is working on healing and renewing her. Ask them to help you learn to do the same, for yourself and for our Earth Mother...

And well l thought that this was pretty good advice...

Earhworms!!! I want to incorporate that into my reusable grocery bags somehow...but, in my opinion..food and worms are not the best combo. Gonna have to sit with this idea for awhile!!

Peace & Love.

I just started my compost pile (made in a big garbage can on wheels) a month ago and included earthworms to help break down the compost and enrich the soil. It's called vermiculture and produces the best fertilizer you can imagine. It makes me feel like I am doing something (albeit small)to help the earth.
i read your blog each day and so relate to the things you write about.
Peace and Hugs to you and yours,

Hey that's cool Nanakin1... We too have compost areas (and they have serviced our garden well over the years) and we have now built 4 big veggie patch plots because we are finding organic veggies so expensive! l like this worm farm thing and am considering that this might be our next 'thing to do' along with a rain tank (A necessity due to water restrictions) ... Thanks for your support chickie, l look forward to keeping in touch... When are you going to "e blog" though? *Hugs* back atcha X:-)
